Got an idea for a small group?

Our vision this year is to help people Belong to Jesus, Belong together and Belong for a purpose, particularly through a new Group Life structure. In the Autumn we will be asking people to sign-up to our first set of groups running over 16 weeks from Sept ‘19 – Feb ‘20. Some of these will run every week, some less frequently. We are looking for people who are willing and courageous to pioneer these groups. Each one could be based around particular people, passions or places and some will be more for strengthening the church, whilst others aimed at reaching into the community. You can be as creative and imaginative as you like! Right now, please be asking yourself these questions…..

What kind of group would I like to be a part of?

What is God saying to me about this?

What am I going to do about it?

If you think you have an idea for a group, we want to hear your proposal by 23rd April, so we can talk more with you and invite you to some training.

Fill in the form below and one of the team will be in touch.

We recognise that none of us are perfect and we rely constantly on God’s undeserved grace. We do though want all our leaders to represent both God and ODC well. How would you describe your life as a disciple of Jesus in terms of Up, In & Out? Are you committed to supporting, serving and giving into the ODC family? Are you intentionally seeking to grow in the way you live out our values and culture?

How would you describe your vision for this group? This should explain why the group would exist, who it would be for and what you hope it will become. Please try to make this as specific as possible.

What do you think your strengths and weaknesses are as a leader? What could others bring to a team to complement you in leading this group? Who do you have in mind to help you lead?

How will the group meet in such a way as to create a healthy UP-IN-OUT rhythm? Which of these do you think is going to be the biggest challenge for the group to grow together in?

Who else do you think might become a part of this group with you? How do you plan to help people find a sense of belonging and to feel like family together?
