So what is Cell Church?

At The Open Door Church our small groups, called cells, are the foundation of how we do church. They are not an optional extra but are at the very heart of the church. Cell groups are small communities within the wider community of the church. In these small communities individuals have the opportunity to express their love to God, seek to draw others in and form deeper relationships with one another that would otherwise be impossible in a larger context.

Every cell has a midweek meeting and gathers together with the other cell groups for the larger church meeting on a Sunday morning. However the key to the cell groups is not the meetings but the relationships that are formed. These relationships go beyond weekly meetings and exist in day to day life. Our desire is that everyone who comes to The Open Door Church, as well as attending the Sunday Celebration, gets involved with one of the cell groups so they can experience a sense of community and form solid relationships with other members of the church.
