Ignite: Sunday
Not our young people! Many of them turn up every Sunday morning from 10.30am to join with the rest of the church and worship God. Some of the young people can be seen in the band, helping in Kids Club, in the Ignite Dance team, teaching, serving drinks and involved with many other activities. We want our young people to find their place and play their part in the Opendoor Church.
After a time of worship the young people usually head off to the café for their own teaching! It’s not like school and there are usually sweets involved. The teaching is delivered by our gifted youth team and is interactive, lively, practical and fun. We want to show our young people that the bible is still relevant today and that being a Christian is fun. So, if you’re a young person in years 7 to 13 (Christian or wanting to know more) Ignite: Sunday is for you.
We also sometimes get a Sunday morning lie in and meet later in the day for Ignite Sundays.
These are some of the series we have taught on recently. “Superheroes”, “Remember who you are”, “Walk this way”, “Nitty Gritty”, “Just like Us”
I think our young people would agree that Ignite: Sunday is a lot of fun. If you don’t believe them, come and check it out for yourself!
