About Us

Our Purpose

To be an open door through which people will meet with Jesus (Evangelism); join His community and so discover God's love for them (Fellowship), a love that compels them to grow as disciples (Discipleship); develop their ministries (Ministry); and magnify His name (Worship).

The 5 areas embraced in our purpose statement are set out in more detail below:

» Evangelism

We seek to work together as teams, inviting people to join with us as we meet Jesus. We recognize that people need to make a journey towards Jesus and we want to walk with them on this journey through lasting relationships and genuine friendships that demonstrate the love of God. Through supporting church planting initiatives we would expect to reach those beyond the local area.

» Fellowship

We desire to create loving communities of people gathering together in what we call Small Groups. Christian community is about an alternative day to day lifestyle that reflects the very character of God, seen in Jesus. The life of our small groups is embedded in these daily relationships and mutual sharing of life with all its joys and sorrows.

» Discipleship

We take seriously Jesus' call to make disciples; we therefore seek to provide a firm foundation of teaching and discipleship that enables Christians to grow in their relationship with Jesus. A variety of approaches will be used including training through small group, Foundation course, conferences and other training programmes organised by Newfrontiers, others and ourselves.

» Ministry

We believe that every Christian is called to minister according to the gifting they have from God, be it in small group, through the corporate gathering or through the wider church. The small groups require and give opportunity for spiritual gifts to be used while broader based ministries which reach out into the local community are actively encouraged.

» Worship

Our greatest calling is to glorify God and we seek to devote our whole lives to this end. We also seek to glorify God in worship and acknowledge our dependence on Him in prayer and seek to hear from Him through prophecy. This is the basis of our life together whenever we meet as individuals, as small groups or corporately.
