Aspire...

At OpenDoor, we are in an exciting season of change, which began last summer when God began speaking simultaneously to 3 parties independent of one another…

 

One of those parties was Martin (lead elder at the time), who was on sabbatical. God was beginning to stir him about moving on to lead a team elsewhere. Meanwhile, Ian (elder in charge during the sabbatical), was hearing God speak to him about leading a team of his own. During this same period, a prophetic word was brought to OpenDoor Church about expecting and embracing change (you can read that prophecy here).

 

It wasn’t long before it became apparent that this was no coincidence! In discussion with apostolic oversight, Ian was identified as the next leader of OpenDoor Church, and Martin was identified as the next leader of Woodside Church, Bedford. 

 

Whilst the change in leadership is a significant outworking of the prophecy given to OpenDoor, we believe that the implications are much further-reaching than this, and are committed to prayerfully working this out. It's an exciting time to be part of OpenDoor!
